The Most Innovative LED Turn Signal Bulbs EVER | The Ultra i-LED by GTR Lighting

It's well known that GTR Lighting has the world's brightest bulbs. The new Ultra i-LED (the letter "I" stands for indication) from the Ultra series product line will only make them more powerful.

ABOUT I-LEDs

Often a bit too dim, stock turn signals can give the headlights an old-fashioned look. Using an LED light bulb in place of your incandescent one is one way to address it. In order to improve performance and appearance, many customers decide to upgrade their brake and reverse lights.

Our purpose is to demonstrate to you that the Ultra I-LED lights are distinctly bright after they are installed. Everyone will be aware of your turning. These things are ridiculous from front to back. Along with hues like amber, white, red, and blue, they come in all the bulb sizes you need for the optimal fit.

It is thought that the blue variant is a switchback light that alternates between amber and white. Simply put, a switchback refers to the two modes of the front turn signal: a bright flashing turn signal and a dull amber parking light. The dim amber parking light will turn bright white if that's how your car runs upfront. It mimics a contemporary LED daytime running light. The turn signal is still amber but has significantly brightened.

The sole distinction between these plug-and-play lights is the requirement for a turn signal converter. This connects the connection from the automobile to the lightbulb. Installing the adapter involves unscrewing the wiring and aligning the arrows on the two wires to connect the adapter to the bulb. Verify that the arrows line correctly to prevent a subpar installation.

After that, attach the bulb adapter to the back and align the arrows the same way you did on the adapter. We strongly advise purchasing the adaptor and doing the installation without it first. Add the turn signal adaptor to fix any hyper flash or bulb-out indicators you may have.

You must determine which blubs fit your car before installing new ones. You may check this in a few ways:

  1. Pop the lightbulb out of the unit and take it out of your car. You should be able to identify your bulb by reading some text on it. Next, use a cross-reference guide to determine which LED variant is appropriate.
  2. You can always visit our website, Ledlightjeep.com, and enter the year, make, and model of your vehicle to see which GTR I-LED lights are compatible with your truck if you would instead not do that.

INSTALLING HEADLIGHT TURN SIGNALS

The LED connector must be the same as the OEM bulb in order for it to function. The LED lightbulb has a notch on top. The arrows should line up and be connected. Dielectric grease is also advised for any external connection lamps. Weathering is possible even with the O-ring. Using dielectric grease can help safeguard your investment. For headlight bulb connections and other external LED lighting, check out Morimoto's assortment of dielectric grease.

The next step is to determine the adapter's mounting configuration. The socket is installed into the housing using mounting tabs, and the original bulb was secured in place by the socket. However, the new bulb lacks all of that, so an adaptor socket is included.

Determine the original socket's mounting tab locations. After that, begin construction by adding an adapter collar to widen it. You can use two sets of screws here. The shorter screws thread straight into the bulb to match the tabs on the bulb socket, while the longer screws attach to the adaptor collar. To secure the replacement bulb in place, the screws will function as socket tabs. It's acceptable if some trial and error is required to guarantee a good fit. Usually, three or four screws are utilized. After you have your screws in place, you will put the light on the rear of your headlight or taillight.

Before finishing the installation, you will need a seal to shield the bulb and casing from the weather. The original shell has a rubber grommet to keep it tight and prevent wriggling and moisture. GTR Lighting's foam seals are precisely what you need. Slide over the lightbulb after selecting the appropriate fit.

The new bulb should then be connected where the old one was removed. Now that the assembly is outside of the shell, we must put more Morimoto dielectric grease in the spaces where moisture could potentially enter.

INSTALLING TAIL LIGHT SIGNALS

A good rule of thumb is to use a bulb that matches the appropriate reflector in the taillight whenever you install rear brake lights, turn signal lights, or reverse lights (i.e., red brake reflector = red bulb). For information on installing the rear lights, see the taillight installation. Simply remember the color-matching procedure.

WHICH IS THE BEST SIGNAL BULB

We have created a comparison of the stock amber incandescent light, Xenon Depot XTR VF, VLEDS V6 Triton, and the GTR Lighting Ultra I-LED turn signal lights to demonstrate their strength. Although it functions, the default bulb's glow is not as intense as it may be. Visually, the Xenon Depot XTR VF is comparable to the factory bulb, but it comes in a much more appealing color. The VLEDS V6 Triton has a stronger glow and an amber LED color.

Not to be overlooked is the GTR Lighting Ultra I-LED. This monster of light uses revolutionary amber color technology to give you the most vibrant and rich color possible. Drivers farther away will be aware that you are turning since the I-LED is stronger and noticeably brighter than the other three alternatives.

This also holds true for your backlights, which have deeper reds and whites. During the day, you will receive a lovely white running light that can change to an amber turn signal when activated if you frequently contemplate the switchback. Check out the GTR Lighting Ultra I-LED if you're looking for choices or brighter turn signals.
